About us
TroubleDiary is kept by KW Cosmetic Content Team. Each note tells you what to try today and what to write down, with the sources behind it.
What kind of notebook is this?
Breakouts change over days and weeks, so one article rarely settles them. Our notes go past "what causes it": they split the problem by everyday situations such as school, work, workout days or your cycle, then turn it into a morning and evening routine and a two-week log. Once a few entries pile up, you can see for yourself when and where your breakouts repeat.
How the notes are organized
- Causes & Areas — Chin, forehead, cheeks, back / cycle, masks, sleep
- Types — Comedones, pustules, nodules / marks or scars
- Care — AM and PM order / students, workers, men
- Ingredients — Salicylic acid, niacinamide, centella
- How to Choose — Ingredient, texture and test checklists
- Quick Q&A — One question per page
The English pages are adapted from our Korean notes (한국어) and keep the same facts, figures and sources.

The company behind the team also runs a Korean cosmetics brand, SKIN9HARI. TroubleDiary is edited on its own, apart from the brand's store and the company's other sites. Where a product is relevant, a note may end with a checklist of ingredients to look for and at most one of the operator's products, clearly labeled as such. Products never appear in the middle of a note.
What we leave out
- We do not diagnose or choose a treatment for you. If painful, swollen spots are spreading or have not changed in weeks, consider seeing a dermatologist.
- No product rankings and no banner ads.
- Reviews and video anecdotes only show us which questions people ask. They are never evidence for a fact.
Our rules for writing and correcting notes are in the editorial policy, and everything we cite is listed under sources.
